KUALA LUMPUR – Selangor’s RM131 million economic stimulus package underscores the proactive leadership of Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari in addressing the global energy crisis while safeguarding the welfare of the people, said Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leader Danish Hairudin.
Danish, a Selangor PKR leadership council member and deputy chief of the Kota Raja division, said in a statement that the “Selangor Resilience Strengthening Package” represents an early and decisive move by the state government to navigate economic uncertainties.
“As AMK Malaysia information chief, I fully support this initiative. It clearly shows that the state government, under Amirudin, is ahead in managing crises,” he said.
He added that the state administration has adopted a structured approach, including the formation of a special task force and regular monitoring to ensure the measures remain relevant and effective.
According to him, the package focuses directly on assisting the rakyat, with RM50 million allocated for the Selangor Food Bank, a RM100 monthly “Kita Selangor” voucher for 50,000 recipients, and RM25 million in aid for more than 17,000 agricultural entrepreneurs.

Danish said these measures reflect the state government’s understanding of the ripple effects of the energy crisis, particularly on food prices, inflation and the rising cost of living.
He added that beyond immediate relief, the initiative also prepares Selangor for the future through the exploration of alternative energy and collaboration with the federal government.
“This is the kind of leadership that stays ahead of the crisis, ensuring economic stability while protecting the people in uncertain times,” he said. -MalayaDailyToday
