KAJANG – As the spirit of Ramadan fills the air, Ehsan Group of Companies has once again stepped up to support the less fortunate through its Jelajah Ihya Ramadan Ehsan 2025 initiative, which aims to assist over 3,500 individuals, including asnaf, orphans, persons with disabilities (OKU), and the elderly across Malaysia.
The initiative, now a hallmark of Ehsan Group’s annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, reflects the company’s deep-rooted commitment to uplifting communities beyond business.
Founded 32 years ago, Ehsan Group has built more than 5,000 affordable homes and has since expanded its reach into hospitality, food services, and philanthropic contributions, including the construction and endowment of mosques.
This year, the company has taken its Ramadan relief efforts nationwide, personally reaching out to urban poor communities, rural villages, and remote settlements to provide food aid, financial assistance, and iftar sponsorships.
Bringing Light to Struggling Communities
Speaking to Malaya Daily Today, Datuk Abdul Hamid P.V. Abdu, founder and CEO of Ehsan Group, shared his firsthand experience of the heartbreaking conditions in rural Malaysia.

“In many remote areas, people survive on daily wages as low as RM20 to RM30, doing hard labor in rubber tapping or working in oil palm plantations.
“When we arrived with aid, even a simple donation meant the world to them. Seeing their joy despite their struggles made us even more determined to continue this journey,” he said.
Abdul Hamid, along with his inspiring wife, Datin Hajaran Bibi Amiran and the entire Ehsan Group team, has personally visited these communities, ensuring that aid reaches those who need it most.

The initiative has also seen an outpouring of support from corporate leaders, NGOs, and volunteers, particularly from the Indian Muslim business community, who have come together to make a difference.
Iftar for Over 1,000 at Masjid India Kajang
One of the key events under the Jelajah Ihya Ramadan Ehsan 2025 initiative was an iftar gathering at Masjid India Kajang, where over 1,000 individuals – including 500 orphans, OKU, asnaf, and senior citizens – were served a warm meal.

The event, attended by Presma President Datuk Jawahar Ali, showcased the power of collaboration between businesses and the community. It also highlighted the growing role of Indian Muslim corporate leaders in humanitarian efforts, ensuring that no one is left behind during Ramadan.

“We are seeing an inspiring trend where business leaders are not just donating but actively participating in humanitarian missions. This is not just about CSR; it is about being accountable to society,” Abdul Hamid added.
Beyond Ramadan: Long-Term Commitment to Welfare
Ehsan Group’s charity work does not stop at Ramadan. The company is planning long-term welfare programs, including education sponsorships, business support for low-income families, and even potential Umrah sponsorships for the underprivileged.
“We want to make a lasting impact. We don’t just give aid and walk away – we want to uplift lives, create opportunities, and help people build a better future for themselves,” Abdul Hamid emphasized.

He also revealed that Ehsan Group is looking to expand its business footprint internationally, with future investments that could open doors for Malaysians in new industries.
“With our growth, we hope to create more jobs, build stronger communities, and continue giving back in bigger ways. As long as we are able, we will keep helping. All we ask for in return is prayers,” he said.

As Jelajah Ihya Ramadan Ehsan 2025 continues until the end of the holy month, Ehsan Group remains steadfast in its mission: to spread hope, happiness, and the true spirit of Ramadan to those who need it most. -MalayaDailyToday
