A New-Look CEC with Rising and Familiar Faces

Among those who secured spots are former Energy, Science, Technology, Environment, and Climate Change Minister Yeo Bee Yin, Selangor State Executive Councillor Ng Sze Han, and Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Chan Foong Hin.
Also making the list are Khoo Poay Tiong, Wong Kah Woh, and Steven Sim Chee Keong, all of whom have been actively shaping party policies.

Notably, Nga Kor Ming, a veteran figure in DAP, continues to hold strong influence, alongside Vivian Wong Shir Yee, Lee Chin Chen, and Hannah Yeoh Tseow Suan, the latter of whom remains a key figure in DAP’s national leadership.
Alice Lau Kiong Yieng, Liow Cai Tung, Teo Kok Seong, and Chow Kon Yeow also secured places in the lineup.
Adding diversity to the committee are Syahredzan Johan, Young Syefura Othman, and Liew Chin Tong, who have played crucial roles in shaping progressive policies.
Ramkarpal Singh, Arul Kumar Jambunathan, and Kasthuriraani Patto continue the legacy of Indian representation within the party, while Lim Guan Eng, Howard Lee Chuan How, Wong Shu Qi, Tan Hong Pin, and Ngeh Koo Ham round out the CEC lineup.
What This Means for DAP
The results highlight continuity and renewal within the party. While established figures like Gobind Singh, Anthony Loke, and Yeo Bee Yin maintained strong positions, the rise of younger leaders suggests a gradual generational shift.

Notably, former Finance Minister and DAP stalwart Lim Guan Eng secured a lower-ranking spot, hinting at a transition towards new leadership dynamics within the party.
With this newly elected CEC team, DAP is set to strengthen its political influence while preparing for the challenges of upcoming elections, governance strategies, and party expansion.
The next step will be the internal selection of key office bearers, including the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, and other pivotal roles that will shape the party’s direction leading into GE16 and beyond. -MalayaDailyToday
