KUALA LUMPUR – Batik Air has cancelled its scheduled Kuala Lumpur–Dubai service today following the closure of designated airspace corridors in the Middle East.
In a statement, Batik Air said the cancellation was taken as a precautionary safety measure in response to the evolving situation in the region.
“The decision is in line with guidance issued by the relevant aviation authorities and reflects our unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of operational safety,” the airline said.
Batik Air added that it is closely monitoring developments and assessing the potential impact on regional airspace and flight operations.
Affected passengers are being contacted directly and will be offered assistance, including rebooking options or refunds where applicable.
“Passengers travelling on upcoming services to the region are strongly advised to monitor their flight status regularly through our official website and communication channels,” it said.
The airline said it remains in close coordination with civil aviation regulators, airport authorities and operational partners, and will continue to review the situation as it unfolds.
