KOTA KINABALU – The momentum for the 17th Sabah State Election continues to build, with 24,426 early voters set to fulfil their civic duty tomorrow.
A total of 58 early polling centres across the state will open simultaneously at 8am, before closing in stages throughout the day.
Of the overall figure, 11,697 early voters comprise military personnel and their spouses, while another 12,729 are police officers and their spouses.
Early voting centres include the Sabah Police Contingent Headquarters here, district police headquarters, as well as military camps statewide.
Once early voting concludes, the ballots will not be counted immediately. Instead, counting will take place on polling day this Saturday, 29 November.
This state election sees 596 candidates vying for 73 seats in the Sabah State Legislative Assembly, including 74 individuals contesting as Independents. -MalayaDailyToday
