JOHOR BHARU – At first glance, there’s nothing extraordinary about Krishh Haran Nair, a 10-year-old. His appearance and behavior are typical of a child his age, enjoying playtime and innocence, untainted by any blemish.
However, a recent encounter with this little one has changed that perception.
His simple actions in answering Malaya Daily Today questions revealed that this young child is gifted with extraordinary talent, and if nurtured well, he could explore the world in remarkable ways.
Who would have thought that the only child of Ramakrishnan Nair and Jayanthimarlin is actually a talented writer?
Indeed, Krishh Haran is a young author who has already produced two books and is currently working on his third title, a sequel to his second work.
“I’m truly grateful for the nationwide Movement Control Order (MCO), as it served as a turning point in my life as a writer.
“It all started when our teacher assigned all students to write a short story, and after that, I thought, why not turn that story into a book?” he said happily.
Not content with limiting his meaningful journey to creating his own books, this adorable child made an unexpected decision to donate the proceeds to the Sinar Ilmu Jaya Foundation (YSIJ).
“I’m fortunate to be born into a family that can provide a comfortable life. But what about other friends out there who don’t have this opportunity?
“After discussing with my parents, they supported my intention to donate all the book sales to YSIJ. I hope this modest contribution can bring them a little joy,” Krishh said.
Through the sales of his first book titled “The Mysterious War to the Deep,” Krishh Haran managed to collect RM7,000.
As for his second book, “Pillar And The Golden Sword,” which was released in digital format, he raised RM21,000, which was donated in the form of 500 boxes of daily necessities to YSIJ.
This achievement earned the Sunway International Iskandar Johor student the recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) as the first child to achieve the highest charitable sales.
Turning his parents into the driving force behind all these charitable projects, the owner of this sweet face mentioned that the two of them have been the backbone of all his achievements so far.
“Without both of them, I wouldn’t be able to do all of this. All these accomplishments would have been nearly impossible without the support of my parents,” he said.
Meanwhile, when approached, Ramakrishnan and Jayathimarlin acknowledged that Krishh was indeed raised to love knowledge from a young age.
Ramakrishnan stated that he and his wife agreed to raise their child with high empathy values, to be able to understand the difficulties and suffering of those in need.
“The comfort we provided him from a young age is not an excuse for him to grow into a self-centered individual.
“We want Krishh to realize that not everyone is born into luxury. Many of them have to work hard to make a living. That’s why we fully support his intention to donate the proceeds of all his books to YSIJ,” he said. -MalayaDailyToday
