SEREMBAN – A 42-year-old female teacher pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court here today to five counts of committing physical and non-physical sexual assault against her 14-year-old male student.
The accused, Nurul Asyikin Sutan Shahril, who is a mother of two, made the plea after the charges were read out to her before Judge Mohamad Kamil Nizam.
According to the charge sheets, the alleged offenses occurred at several locations around Seremban 2 between September 2025 and April this year.
Beyond the physical allegations, the schoolteacher faces non-physical charges under the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which include sending inappropriate photographs to the minor via WhatsApp and requesting similar explicit material from him in return.
The court granted bail at RM25,000 with one surety, alongside strict additional conditions. The accused has been ordered to hand over her passport to the court and is strictly prohibited from contacting or approaching the victim and any prosecution witnesses until the disposal of the case.
