KUALA LUMPUR – Although he has long retired from his position as Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Musa Hassan’s spirit to continue serving the country and championing the safety and well-being of the people remains strong.
Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (MCCC) Pahang chairman Daniel Khoo said retirement had never diminished Musa’s concern for national security, crime prevention and public order.
He said Musa’s extensive experience spanning decades in policing and enforcement, including his tenure as Inspector-General of Police with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), remained a valuable asset that could still be utilised for the benefit of the people and country.
“Although Tan Sri Musa has retired as Inspector-General of Police, his spirit to help the community and his concern for public safety remain strong.
“He continues to be respected and approached by members of the public for advice on crime and national security issues. His friendly relationship with the community is highly appreciated and valued.
“His leadership in MCCC also helps the police through the channelling of information on crime obtained from the community, while strengthening ties between the police and the public.
“His vast experience and knowledge in crime prevention and security issues continue to be valuable, particularly in helping communities better understand the importance of staying alert and working together with the authorities.
“His presence and willingness to engage with the community also show that his commitment to public safety goes beyond his years in active service. He continues to share his experience and provide guidance whenever needed.
“For him, retirement only means stepping down from an official position, not giving up his responsibility and love for the country. The uniform may be taken off and the position may be relinquished, but the spirit of protecting the safety of the country and its people remains firmly in his heart,” he said. -MalayaDailyToday
