JOHOR BAHRU – The city of Johor Bahru will host a milestone event in Malaysia’s digital calendar with the upcoming WordCamp Johor Bahru 2025, marking the first time the globally recognized WordCamp series lands in the southern region of the country.
This community-driven conference, powered by volunteers and officially endorsed by the WordPress Foundation, aims to bring together a vibrant mix of developers, designers, bloggers, business owners, and tech enthusiasts. WordCamps around the world are known for nurturing open-source collaboration and digital innovation through shared learning and networking; and Johor Bahru is now joining this tradition.
The one-day event, to be held at Iskandar Puteri Johor Bahru on 17th May, will feature a diverse program of expert-led talks, interactive workshops, live demonstrations, and networking opportunities. Whether attendees are seasoned WordPress professionals or newcomers eager to explore its potential, the event promises insight, inspiration, and community connection.
To make the event widely accessible, organizers are offering affordable entry through regular tickets, made possible by sponsor support. Attendees will receive full access to sessions, networking activities, and complimentary refreshments. For those who wish to provide additional support to the community, micro sponsor tickets are also available. These offer the same benefits while helping maintain low costs for others.
Sponsorship opportunities are open to businesses and brands looking to connect with a tech-savvy audience. Available sponsor packages include roles as food and beverage providers, media partners, and official hosts of the post-event after-party. Sponsors will receive strong brand exposure across event platforms, digital channels, and onsite activations.
With the spirit of collaboration at its heart, WordCamp Johor Bahru 2025 is expected to draw participation from across the region, creating new bridges between local talent and the wider WordPress community.
