KUALA LUMPUR – External Affairs Minister of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar has officially launched the fifth edition of the ‘Bharat ko Janiye Quiz,’ 2024-2025 on 11 November 2024. The quiz is opened to Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), and foreign nationals.
Bharat Ko Janiye (Know India) Quiz is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. This prestigious initiative aims to engage and inspire NRIs, PIOs and foreign nationals to deepen their knowledge and appreciation of India’s rich cultural heritage, history, and contemporary advancements. The Quiz will run for a month from 11 November -11 December 2024.
Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz began its journey in 2015 following an announcement by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during the 13th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas celebrations. The Ministry has organized four editions of Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz in 2015, 2018,2020 and 2022 so far.
Registration is mandatory for all eligible participants aged between 14 and 50 years as of December 11, 2024, and is free of charge. Interested individuals can register on the official portal at www.bkjquiz.com. The portal provides comprehensive guidelines, rules, model tests, FAQs, and a mock quiz to help participants prepare effectively.
The 5th edition of the Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz is being held online (www.bkjquiz.com) from 11 November 2024 to 11 December 2024 and is open for participation in two categories (i) Non-Resident Indians and (ii) Persons of Indian Origin/Foreign nationals, aged between 14 to 50 years. Top 30 scorers of the quiz, 15 in each category, will be invited for a two-week immersive Bharat Ko Janiye Yatra (Know India Tour). They will also participate in the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Bhubhaneshwar from 08-10 January 2025.
Other exciting rewards, such as:
- e Certificates: All Participants completing the quiz will receive a digital “Certificate of Participation”. Participants scoring 25 and above will receive a digital “Certificate of Excellence”.
- Leaders’ Board: Top 10 scorers of the week in each category will make it to the Leaders’ Board. The names of the Leaders’ Board winners will be published on relevant social media platforms.
- Felicitation by Indian Mission: 50 top scorers from a country will be felicitated by theHigh Commission and will receive a Certificate of Achievement .
- Refer and Win: Several participants referring the quiz to their friends will have a chance for felicitation by the High Commission.
