KUALA LUMPUR – The much-awaited Global Leadership Awards 2022 (GLA’22), now in its 12th edition, took place at the esteemed Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur on 12th July 2023. The event celebrated exceptional leaders and achievers from various fields, featuring a grand
gathering of industry professionals, influencers, and distinguished guests.
The Organising Chairman, Mr Arthur Carmazzi shared that “GLA’22 is not only a platform for recognition; it is a catalyst for inspiration and learning. It is an opportunity for us to come together, share experiences, and gain insights from the collective wisdom of exceptional
leaders.”
He also added, “It is a reminder that leadership is an ongoing journey, a commitment to continuous growth, and an unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of others.”
With 26 distinguished award categories, the GLA’22 showcased the outstanding contributions of individuals who have demonstrated exemplary leadership qualities and made a significant impact in their respective domains. This annual event has become a hallmark in recognising and honouring leadership excellence on a global scale.
The guest of honour for the evening was the Honourable Tan Sri Shahrizat Jalil, Chairman of National Council of Women and Family Affairs (HAWA). In addition to Tan Sri’s presence, the event was graced by the esteemed presence of Honourable Dato’ Sri Haji Mohd Sharkar Shamsudin, Speaker of The Pahang State Legislative Assembly, Honourable Datuk Seri M. Saravanan, Member Of Parliament (Tapah) Cum Deputy President Of Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) and YAM Tengku Puteri Seri Teja Puan Sri Datuk Hajah Tengku Muhaini binti Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, Chairman of The Malaysian Armed Forces Family Welfare Body (BAKAT) / Supreme Council Royal Advisor Of Badan Amal Kasih Sayang (BAKASA) who also the winner of “Excellence in Women Leadership”.
