KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged all candidates and party members to practice the spirit of unity, integrity and ethics in the run-up to party elections in KEADILAN.
In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Anwar then called on all the candidates to wish each other well, and ran in the spirit of kekeluargaan (familial spirit), but not to practice divisive practices that might lead to fracture among party members.
“This process must take place in the spirit of togetherness and ethical conduct, steering clear of divisive culture. Strengthening the party’s internal democracy is crucial for a stronger future,” Anwar stated.
Reiterating a message he has often championed, Anwar reminded supporters that KEADILAN is not merely a political entity, but a vehicle of the people’s struggle. He urged members to choose leaders who embody integrity, trustworthiness, and a genuine commitment to representing the people’s voice.
“KEADILAN is more than just a political party, it is a platform for the people’s cause. Choose leadership that is honest, responsible, and truly speaks for the majority,” he said.
As the party undergoes its latest leadership selection, Anwar’s call for an ethical and people-centered approach underscores his vision of a just and prosperous Malaysia under the banner of Malaysia MADANI; a national development framework he has championed since taking office.
The KEADILAN party election is seen as a pivotal moment in setting the direction of its leadership and values moving forward, especially as it continues to play a key role in shaping Malaysia’s political landscape.
“God willing, our efforts and resolve will be made easier in our journey towards a more just and prosperous Malaysia for all,” Anwar concluded.
The party elections are part of a larger democratic process within KEADILAN, which aims to empower its grassroots and reaffirm its commitment to reform and good governance. -MalayaDailyToday
