HRD Corp Brand Heroes

Kuala Lumpur – When I first joined HRD Corp, I noticed that our stakeholders were not completely aware of our role in assisting them in their training and development journey. Therefore, my team and I have made it a priority to ensure that Malaysians have a clear picture of what we are doing so that our stakeholders are encouraged to utilise the levies that they are paying to go through continuous upskilling and reskilling.

After considering several options, my team and I concluded that the best ambassadors to put HRD Corp out there in the eyes of the public are actually our HRD Corp Brand Heroes. That prompted us to establish the Internal Brand Ambassadors (IBA), an initiative that identifies passionate employees within our organisations that can express themselves and tell people what HRD Corp is all about.

Our IBAS has come a long way and are now officially known as the Brand Heroes, one of the most dynamic groups within the organisation. I had the pleasure of attending the Master Class series with them. Facilitated by Julian Mather, the HRD Corp Brand Heroes and I were treated to an insightful class on transmitting effective messages by mastering video making.

During my sharing session with our Brand Heroes, I spoke about the vital role that they are playing in upholding the brand of HRD Corp and also touched on the importance of being authentic, agile and consistent. My take is this, training is a necessity and not a luxury, as HRD Corp is relentless in carrying its mandate to elevate the training and landscape of Malaysia, we are also apply this same concept on our HRD Corp Heroes as well.
