PUTRAJAYA – A politician who is a former chairman of Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) and a former Secretary-General of Treasury at the Ministry of Finance (MOF) arrived at the Putrajaya Magistrates’ Court today for a remand order.
According to a report by Berita Harian, the two individuals, holding the titles of Datuk Seri and Tan Sri, both in their 60s, arrived at 9:30 a.m. dressed in orange lockup attire and handcuffs, escorted by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officers.
Also spotted at the court complex was a former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TH, who was previously remanded to assist in the same investigation.
The arrests follow findings and disclosures highlighted in the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report concerning the pilgrims’ fund board.
MACC Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman confirmed the arrest of the two high-profile figures to facilitate ongoing investigations conducted by the commission. -MalayaDailyToday
