KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Seri BK Jeff Lee, the visionary founder of JL99 Group, has once again cemented his legacy as one of Malaysia’s most successful corporate figures in real estate, especially in the bustling Klang Valley region.
Recognizing his immense contributions, Sin Chew Daily has published a biographical book that delves into his life story, tracing his journey through the challenges and triumphs that shaped him into one of the nation’s most prominent developers.
The 200-page biography will initially be released in Chinese before being translated into other languages, providing readers a glimpse into the resilience and vision that drove Lee’s rise in the industry.

Speaking at the book launch in Kuala Lumpur, which was attended by Minister of Human Resources Steven Sim, Jeff Lee expressed his deep gratitude for the recognition.
“I am truly honored and thankful to Sin Chew Daily and to all Malaysians, especially the JL99 homeowners who have supported our projects along the way.
“Over the years, we have successfully completed a range of projects, from high-end residences to mid-range developments, low-cost housing, and redevelopment projects,” he said in a speech.
Jeff Lee highlighted several milestone achievements by JL99 Group, including the acclaimed redevelopment of Razak Mansion in Sungai Besi.
This project was a trailblazer, transforming an aging, 40-year-old flat into a modern, medium-cost apartment.
“Razak Mansion’s redevelopment saw unanimous support from all residents, who now enjoy comfortable new homes in a modern community. It has now set the benchmark for future redevelopment projects across Malaysia,” Jeff Lee noted.
Established in 1995, JL99 Group has weathered the ups and downs of the real estate market to become a household name.
