KUALA LUMPUR – The Minister of Human Resources, Yang Berhormat Steven Sim Chee Keong, launched the National Human Capital Conference & Exhibition (NHCCE) 2024 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur today.
He was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Human Resources, Yang Berhormat Dato’ Sri Abdul Rahman bin Haji Mohamad. Also in attendance, Secretary General of the Ministry of Human Resources, Yang Berbahagia Datuk Azman Mohd Yusof; Chairman of the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp), Yang Berbahagia Datuk Abu Huraira Abu Yazid and Chief of Skills and Employability Branch of International Labour Organization (ILO), Srinivas Reddy.
Happening from 30 September to 2 October 2024, the NHCCE is the flagship annual conference of the HRD Corp, an agency established under the Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA) tasked with overseeing the nation’s human capital development through upskilling and reskilling initiatives.
Since its rebranding from the HRDF Conference & Exhibition to the NHCCE in 2022, the NHCCE has been at the forefront of establishing and bringing forth the latest discourse in human capital development. With its evolution to the current format, the NHCCE has also emphasised more on offering a global perspective by gathering the brightest human resources (HR) minds, subject matter experts, speakers and delegates from both the international and local scene.
This year, NHCCE 2024 again advocates for a modern and innovative approach towards human capital development. Carrying the theme ‘Humanising Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the Future Workforce’, the NHCCE 2024 focuses heavily on how HR practitioners should harness AI to guide their strategies and shape a more dynamic future workforce.
Through the conference, delegates are also given the tools to delve into how AI is revolutionising the workplace while emphasising the importance of integrating technology with a focus on human development and inclusivity.
With more than 4,000 delegates from across the globe, including the UK, Germany, Singapore, the Philippines, Brunei, Oman, Pakistan, and India, NHCCE 2024 promises an extensive exchange of global perspectives. Participants will engage in panel discussions, interactive sessions, and networking opportunities with over 30 distinguished international and local speakers.
The speakers comprising of prominent international speakers such as award-winning journalist Mehdi Hasan, innovation strategist Shawn Kanungo, and executive coach John Mattone. It will also feature local corporate powerhouse such as Venon Tian, the co-founder and COO of Zus Coffee and Pei Si Lai, the CEO of GXBank who will come together to offer a comprehensive perspective on leadership, ethics, AI integration, and the role of emerging technologies in human resources.
Apart from the conference, the NHCCE 2024 will also have one of the largest exhibition areas in the region, with more than 300 exhibitors, highlighting the latest trends in upskilling models, wellness platforms, and cutting-edge technologies.
At the same time, there will also be a business matching lounge within the exhibition area known as BizMatch to allow visitors to obtain training programmes at a discounted rate. To date close to over 1,200 courses valued at over RM550,000 will be on offer at the NHCCE 2024.
Job seekers are also invited to visit the MyFutureJobs Career Fair, held in conjunction with NHCCE 2024, offering potential employment opportunities with nearly 50 local and international companies.
