Its Ramadan month, time to build faith, not muscles – Murad Zaidi

GLENMARIE – The arrival of Ramadan should be celebrated by increasing acts of worship said the Chief Executive Officer of Badcave Training Facility gym, Murad Zaidi.

He said that this opportunity should be utilized wisely.

According to him, it wouldn’t hurt to momentarily set aside fitness training usually done at the gym.

“Ramadan is a month to increase acts of worship, let’s momentarily forget muscle-building activities. Let us focus on building deeds and increasing faith,” he told last Thursday during ‘Doa Selamat’ organised by him.

Murad, who is also a famous fitness trainer, said that all acts of worship performed are indirectly exercises.

“Many do not realize that acts of worship such as Tarawih prayers are actually exercises. When prostrating, for example, it improves blood circulation and still provides health benefits,” he said.

Commenting on nutrition aspects, Murad explained that the methods recommended by Islam have proven to be beneficial in numerous ways.

“Islam is a beautiful religion. We are encouraged to break our fast with dates, and scientifically speaking, dates are rich in potassium which helps maintain hydration levels. “I often advise clients to eat in small but frequent quantities,” he said.

Earlier, Badcave held an iftar event during Ramadan and also provided assistance to orphans, consisting of residents of Madrasah Tahfiz Al Munawarah from Sungai Buloh.

Interestingly, the inaugural prayer event was also attended by several well-known celebrities, corporate figures, and close family members.

The orphans were treated to delicious meals during iftar and were also given Eid money on that day by Murad. -MalayaDailyToday
