KUALA LUMPUR – In a bid to assist small entrepreneurs in generating side income, 99 Wonderland Park Wildlife in the City has set up dozens of booths equipped with comfortable facilities for traders.
JL99 Group Executive Chairman, Datuk Seri Jeff Lee, explained that this initiative aims to help business owners struggling to find suitable trading spaces in the capital city.
“What’s more exciting,” he said, “is that the theme park provides all these facilities, including tents and electricity, without charging any fees.”
“I created this business opportunity in the theme park so entrepreneurs can market their products here without any charges. They just need to bring their products and start selling,” said Lee.
He added, “Besides providing booths and tents, we also supply electricity. Each booth is given two power plugs for use while operating within the theme park.”
The initiative, introduced on December 20, is part of the theme park’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and has already benefitted over 70 entrepreneurs. The booths cater to a variety of businesses, including food, beverages, clothing, and accessories.
Lee shared that the initiative will run for two weeks initially and may be extended to coincide with Ramadan and the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations, as well as the school holidays in January. However, a nominal fee of RM20 to RM30 may be charged later to cover electricity costs.
