BESUT – The Besut Sessions Court has dismissed a lawsuit filed by a man claiming to be the administrator of his late father’s estate in an attempt to recover RM590,000 from the sale of two properties.
The court also affirmed that the RM590,000 rightfully belongs to the defendant, prominent real estate tycoon Datuk Mohamad Azlan Abdullah, widely known as Azlan Al Amin.
Sessions Court Judge Ahmad Fadhli Mahmud delivered the verdict after a five-day trial, during which five witnesses were called to testify.

In his ruling, the judge stated that the plaintiff had no legal basis to claim the RM590,000, as the estate administrator’s letter did not recognize the amount as part of the deceased’s inheritance.
“The plaintiff was not involved in the transaction, and the proceeds from the sale were handed over to the defendant under the direct instructions of the deceased. The sum was part of a property exchange agreement between the deceased and the defendant while the deceased was still alive.
“There is also a signed declaration confirming that the deceased had willingly agreed to the arrangement and would not make any claims against the sum,” said Judge Ahmad Fadhli.
The court therefore ruled in favor of the defendant and ordered the plaintiff, Shahruldi Mahafiz Ramli, to pay RM15,000 in legal costs to Azlan Al Amin.
Legal Victory Restores Azlan Al Amin’s Reputation
Speaking to Malaya Daily Today, the defendant’s lawyer, Fahmi Adilah of Zahid Ahmad & Associates, emphasized that the ruling not only confirmed the legitimacy of the real estate transaction but also restored his client’s reputation, which had been tarnished by baseless accusations.

According to Fahmi, the plaintiff had, for years, publicly accused his client of deceiving the deceased in the property deal and unlawfully taking the money. These allegations severely damaged Azlan Al Amin’s reputation as a respected businessman.
“The situation worsened when these false claims spread across social media, leading to widespread negative perceptions of my client just as he was rising in the real estate industry.
“It is important to note that the deceased never raised any objections or disputes regarding the transaction during his lifetime. The court took into account all evidence, including a signed declaration from the deceased himself, confirming that the RM590,000 was willingly transferred to my client.
“My client is extremely pleased with this verdict, which puts an end to the legal dispute and reaffirms his rightful ownership of the funds,” Fahmi stated.
