With GPU-as-a-Service offered by YTL AI Cloud, companies can access the latest generation GPUs on demand for AI workloads. Hosted at YTL’s 500MW Green Data Center Park, which is powered by 100% renewable energy, this collaboration supports AI development while maintaining climate sustainability, aligning with global initiatives for responsible AI innovation.
“By merging AI technology with sustainability, we empower businesses to innovate while promoting environmental responsibility. Thanks to Equinix Fabric’s global reach, we can extend these benefits to even more companies,” added Wing K. Lee.
David Bate, Senior Vice President of Sales, Asia-Pacific, Equinix, stated, “AI is driving the modern economy, and sustainable data centers are at the heart of this transformation. Our partnership with YTL Communications will provide businesses in Malaysia with direct access to our extensive cloud, network, and AI ecosystems worldwide.”

Upgrading Nationwide Connectivity with Wireless Laser Technology
YTL Communications is the first telecommunications company in Malaysia to implement Transcelestial’s wireless laser communications technology, enabling fiber-class ultra-low latency and high-speed connectivity without the need for physical cables. This solution enhances connectivity in hard-to-reach areas, where conventional fiber technology is impractical.
Transcelestial’s CENTAURI devices, which are compact and shoebox-sized, offer high-capacity, spectrum-free connectivity via lasers, eliminating the reliance on physical fiber cables.
“This breakthrough technology allows us to deliver fiber-class internet over challenging terrains and environments, ensuring seamless connectivity. With Malaysia’s increasing data consumption, this partnership strengthens our network’s performance and resilience while advancing the country’s digital transformation,” said Wing K. Lee.
Rohit Jha, CEO & Co-Founder of Transcelestial, added, “Our vision is to create limitless connectivity, free from physical barriers. By partnering with YTL Communications as the first telco in Malaysia to integrate our laser technology, we are enabling fiber-like speeds while enhancing network flexibility. This collaboration accelerates Malaysia’s digital and AI ambitions while empowering businesses and communities to thrive in the global digital economy.”

Advancing Malaysia’s Digital Transformation
These partnerships align with YTL Group’s long-standing commitment to nation-building over the past 70 years, spanning physical and digital infrastructure across various industries.
“With our Group’s strategic investments in the 500MW YTL Green Data Centre Park, our partnership with NVIDIA on Malaysia’s first sovereign AI Cloud, and the launch of the country’s first AI-driven digital bank, we are well-positioned to be a key enabler of digital transformation across Malaysia,” concluded Wing K. Lee. -MalayaDailyToday
