KUALA LUMPUR – The Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture (MOTAC) has announced the production of over 200 promotional videos, investing RM1.9 million to captivate global travelers ahead of Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VM2026).
MOTAC Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing revealed that the project was awarded through an open tender and involved filming at various locations to highlight Malaysia’s unique attractions.
“These videos were not created overnight. We began filming last year, carefully selecting the best content to showcase. It was not an easy task,” he said at the official launch of the VM2026 promotional videos today.

To ensure balanced coverage, the videos have been divided into zones, with each zone covering two to three states. This approach allows for more focused promotion, emphasizing the distinct charm of each region.
“Some states are more active in promotions, while others face challenges due to other commitments. However, we will continue engaging with all states to ensure every destination receives the attention it deserves,” he added.

With these captivating visuals, MOTAC aims to entice travelers worldwide, solidifying Malaysia’s position as a must-visit destination in 2026. -MalayaDailyToday
