KUALA LUMPUR – In a resounding affirmation of its dedication to safety and operational excellence, Batik Air has successfully renewed its IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification: a prestigious benchmark that sets global standards in aviation safety.
The renewed certification, valid through 3 June 2027, is more than just a regulatory checkbox. It’s a gold standard in the aviation world, developed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and recognised globally as the most stringent safety evaluation framework for airlines. For Batik Air, it’s also a powerful endorsement of its ongoing pledge to offer travellers peace of mind from the moment they step into the airport to when they arrive at their final destination.
The IOSA audit, conducted every two years, is carried out by IATA-accredited professionals and reviews eight critical operational areas, including flight operations, engineering and maintenance, cabin operations, ground handling, and aviation security. This latest audit was conducted under IATA’s enhanced Risk-Based Audit (RBA) model, a refined method that takes into account the airline’s operational profile and past performance to deliver a more precise and tailored assessment.
The CEO of Batik Air, Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy, expressed that the renewed certification is a testament to the airline’s core values.
“At Batik Air, safety isn’t just a standard; it’s our promise,” he said. “It forms the very foundation of our operations and defines who we are. For our passengers, this certification provides not only assurance but genuine peace of mind.”

With the tagline, “Unwavering Commitment to Safety”, Batik Air has made clear that its mission goes beyond expansion or profit. It’s about building trust, flight after flight.
The airline has been steadily growing its regional and international presence, but never at the expense of its core promise: safe, reliable, and professional service. As a full-service carrier, Batik Air operates with precision, care, and discipline, qualities that resonate in today’s travel climate, where safety remains paramount for both frequent flyers and occasional travellers alike.
This milestone isn’t just an achievement for Batik Air; it’s a message to the flying public. In a world of choices, flying with an IOSA-certified airline like Batik Air means boarding with confidence.
Whether heading home or off to explore the world, passengers can rest assured that Batik Air is not only keeping them in the air but doing so with world-class safety at its heart. home or off to explore the world, passengers can rest assured that Batik Air is not only keeping them in the air but doing so with world-class safety at its heart. -MalayaDailyToday
