Kuala Lumpur – More than 200,000 participants are expected to attend the 2024 National Training Week (NTW) 2024, which will be held from 24th to 30th June across the country.
NTW 2024 by the Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA) through HRD Corp provides training and activities to organizations, individuals and industries from a wide range of backgrounds.
For this year, NTW 2024 will include some of the big names such as Petrosains, Farm Fresh, Bookxcess, Race and Rescue Department, Asia School of Business and many more who will be hosting the free training week.
NTW 2024 is HRD Corp’s second success, following last year’s success. Last year, NTW 2023 managed to reach over 129,000 participation in over 21,000 training courses.

For this year, NTW 2024 sets a larger target, which is 200,000 registrations, 25,000 free training courses and 500 learning activities.
The CEO of HRD Corp, Datuk Shahul Dawood, said through NTW 2024, his party aims to ensure that all Malaysians have a platform to receive skills improvements and re-skills throughout their lifetime.
He said, for a week, all Malaysians across the country have access to a variety of training courses offered free of charge and delivered through physical, online, hybrid or self-learning classes.
“We hope to be able to inspire everyone, regardless of background, to strengthen themselves through improved skills and re-skills.
“At the same time, we also hope that HRD Corp brings together communities including ministries, agencies, organizations, training providers, associations, academics and individuals to enable inclusive and impactful learning and development opportunities through this initiative,” he said.
He said, with the theme Inspiring Malaysian Excellence through Lifelong Learning, the program will bring together a variety of courses under five core, namely life skills, future skills, creativity and innovation, financial skills and sustainable development.
These five cores are selected based on the needs of Malaysian talent and industry.
HRD Corp through a range of strategic partners from a wide range of industries and organizations will offer training courses with physical, online and hybrid methods.
Courses can also be studied through self-paced or self-learning. Among the exciting courses offered include workplace skills courses such as Personal Skills and Leadership Course, Using Beginner and Intermediate Graphic Design Software, How to Build Mobile Applications, Encoding and Robotics, Smart Money Management and Effective Strategies for Financial Success, as well as many more.
“At the same time, NTW 2024 also offers courses that are fun and perfectly suitable for everyday life, such as cooking, fashion and fashion, art and design and much more.
“All of these courses will help participants understand the importance of training in self-development, boosting their self-confidence, motivation and productivity as well as improving their employment opportunities and career advancement,” he said.
In addition, HRD Corp will also organize educational activities across the country such as Agriculture Education Day focused on smart farming in Terengganu, the Belia Festival and Bootcamp ICT and Robotics, at Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology in Pahang, the Anyaman Course for Indigenous Persons at the HRD Corporation Community Training & Development Center in Tapah, Perak, and the TVET Seminar and Demonstration at the Industrial Training Institute in Labuan.
