ISKANDAR PUTERI – The first-ever WordCamp Johor Bahru 2025 officially kicked off this morning at 42 Iskandar Puteri, marking a proud milestone for Malaysia’s growing digital and tech community.
The sold-out event drew more than 150 passionate participants from all corners of the world, bringing together developers, designers, marketers, entrepreneurs, and content creators for a full day of learning, networking, and collaboration.
The event is organised by a passionate team from the WordCamp community, made up of volunteers from all walks of life embodying the true spirit of WordPress: openness, inclusivity, and accessibility.
With 25 engaging speakers, 21 committed sponsors, and an audience brimming with energy and enthusiasm, WordCamp Johor Bahru has officially placed itself on the global WordPress map.


“This is not just about WordPress, it’s about people, ideas, and building something bigger together. We’re thrilled to see such a diverse and dynamic crowd in Johor Bahru,” said one of the local organisers.
The organiser WordCamp Johor Bahru 2025, Yves Tan, was clearly excited and overjoyed as he delivered his heartfelt welcoming speech this morning. With a smile that reflected months of hard work and anticipation, Yves warmly greeted the attendees and shared his gratitude.

“This is not just an event. This is a dream come true,” Yves said. “Seeing so many familiar and new faces from all over the world and right here in Malaysia coming together to learn, connect, and celebrate WordPress is truly inspiring.”

“Being a co-organizer of WordCamp Johor Bahru 2025 wasn’t just a title — it was a journey. A journey of passion, teamwork, and relentless dedication.” said Nasim Miah.
Nasim Miah, a 27-year-old freelancer from Bangladesh, served as one of the key organizers. As a WordPress web developer and Digital Marketing, Nasim is based in Malaysia and works with clients from Malaysia, Singapore and Australia.
Warm Welcome at Puteri Harbour
To kick things off on a high note, the organisers hosted a welcoming dinner last night at Olive Kitchen + Bar, Puteri Harbour exclusively for speakers and sponsors.
The cozy, vibrant setting provided the perfect backdrop for relaxed networking and heartfelt conversations. Guests were treated to delicious food, scenic views, and warm hospitality, leaving many feeling touched and deeply appreciative of the organisers’ efforts.
