KUALA LUMPUR – In a heartfelt gesture of compassion and commitment to community welfare, Malik Streams Corporation Sdn Bhd has once again pledged to sponsor 200 underprivileged individuals for Umrah under its ongoing charitable initiative, Rahath Umrah 2024, scheduled to take place early next year.
The initiative, now entering its third year, is the brainchild of Datuk Abdul Malik Dasthigeer, Chief Executive Officer of Malik Streams Corporation, who has become a familiar name in philanthropic circles. Speaking to Malaya Daily Today, Datuk Malik shared the emotional weight behind the selection process, which saw thousands of hopeful applicants vying for a place in the program.
“It wasn’t easy. There were so many deserving individuals. During the interviews, I was deeply moved, some stories nearly brought me to tears,” he said. “But with Allah’s will, we have made the best possible selection of those who truly need and deserve this journey.”

Among the selected are single mothers and fathers, recipients of Baitulmal aid, the poor and destitute, and first-time pilgrims. The program aims to ensure that those who would otherwise not have the means can still fulfil their spiritual aspirations to visit the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.
Abdul Malik personally conducted the selection process, underlining his hands-on approach and dedication to ensuring that the aid reaches those who need it most.

Beyond this spiritual initiative, Malik Streams is also actively engaged in year-round community programs; particularly during Ramadan, festive seasons, and back-to-school periods. These efforts are part of the company’s broader commitment to give back to society as its corporate stature grows.
“As our company continues to thrive and receive support, it is our responsibility to return the favour to the people,” said Abdul Malik.
“We will continue these initiatives, God willing.”
Malik Streams’ continued dedication to social welfare has earned the company widespread praise and support from the public, reinforcing the role of the private sector in uplifting disadvantaged communities.
With the 2024 Umrah season approaching, this initiative stands as a beacon of hope for many and a powerful reminder that compassion, when put into action, can truly transform lives. -MalayaDailyToday
