ISKANDAR PUTERI – A 12-year-old Malaysian student has made a heartfelt appeal for justice after Israeli forces intercepted the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF), a humanitarian convoy headed to Gaza.
Krishh Haran Nair, a Year 7 student at Sunway International School, Iskandar Puteri, Johor, spoke passionately in a video uploaded by his father, Ramakrishnan Nair on social media.
“The Global Sumud Flotilla is a convoy of more than 40 ships, from over 40 countries, including Malaysia.

“Their mission is simple: to bring food, medicine, and humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, who have been suffering for so long under blockade and war,” said Krishh.
He went on to express his sadness over the flotilla being intercepted on October 1 and 2.

“Something very sad happened. Several ships were stopped, and many activists were detained. Among them were 12 Malaysians,” he said.
Calling them people with big hearts, Krishh insisted the detained activists were not criminals.
“They are not terrorists. They are activists, volunteers, and NGO workers who only wanted to bring hope, love, and humanity to Gaza,” he said.
Among the Malaysians detained are familiar names such as Hazwani Helmi, Heliza Helmi and Farah Lee.

In his emotional plea, Krishh urged the world:
“Release all the activists now. Do not punish people who came only to help. Gaza needs food, medicine, and peace not prisons and violence.”
He concluded with a message on humanity that resonated with many who watched the video.
“Humanity has no religion, no race, no borders. Every life is precious. And I believe, even a small voice like mine, can make a big difference.”
The Global Sumud Flotilla mission, which involved more than 500 activists from 44 countries including Malaysia, sought to deliver food and medical supplies to Gaza while calling for the opening of a humanitarian corridor.
The participation of international figures such as climate activist Greta Thunberg, actress Susan Sarandon, actor Liam Cunningham and Mandla Mandela, the grandson of Nelson Mandela, drew worldwide attention to the mission before it was forcibly halted.
Krishh’s video, shared by his father, has since become a poignant reminder that even the youngest voices can carry powerful calls for justice, peace, and humanity. -MalayaDailyToday
