KUALA LUMPUR – Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing has called on Mas Ermieyati Samsudin (PN-Masjid Tanah) to provide concrete evidence of companies allegedly misusing their Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) licences.
Her claims suggest that licensed companies were appointing “sub-agents” to act as “master agents” for the program.
In response, Tiong requested details, explaining, “I don’t have the exact number of agents with me now, as I just returned from overseas, but I’ll provide a written reply later.”
Tiong confirmed that an investigation is underway to expose any licensed agents involved in shady practices, after receiving complaints about inactive services and misleading information from certain agents.
“Some agents handed off their licences to third parties who don’t even have an office. This is causing a lot of frustration, but we’re addressing the issue and keeping a close eye on it,” Tiong assured. -MalayaDailyToday
